"Let's act out a play.  Your lines will be... Let's see... 'I don't want to die' and... 'I want to die after all.'"

Pineapple-kun is love.  Pineapple-kun is life.

This is a redraw (in the sense that I traced the line art and recolored) of Tokyo Ghoul:re Ch 25 pg 12 frame 3.  I actually made this as a wallpaper for my phone, but I thought I'd share since I think it turned out nice.  There's a version without text as well, if anyone's interested.  All credit goes to Ishida Sui, of course.

EDIT: Updated with a better version.  I didn't like how it looked on my phone, so I redid the whole thing lol.  I'm probably gonna update this again because I just realized I forgot to fix the blood.  Oops.
EDIT 2: Yup, I just took the blood out entirely.  For the life of me, I couldn't make it work, so I just decided to avoid it entirely.
EDIT 3: LAST TWEAK I SWEAR.  Wasn't happy with the text, so I changed it.  It's perfect now lol.

I'm not tagging this as a spoiler because, unless you already know who it is, this dude's completely unrecognizable.

So, now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'd like to talk spoilers.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD, SCROLL AT YOUR OWN RISK

Holy FUCK, Seidou, what did they DO to you?!  I really, really love this character (both before and after the timeskip).  He was such a sweetheart in TG (self-conscious and plagued with feelings of inferiority, but a sweetheart nonetheless), and now he's just fucking insane and tragic and sad and I love him even more now.  And when he tells Haise what his "lines" are, it echoes the moment in the last part when he scrawls "I DON'T WANT TO DIE" across his will, which is enough to cause chills, man.  Some insightful, wonderful person on the wiki mentioned that it makes sense because he didn't want to die during the Anteiku raid, but after Aogiri captured him and experimented on/tortured him, he realized that he would rather have died after all.  Every piece of his dialog is dark and horrifying, but there's something very sad about it as well.  He's nothing but a shell of what he used to be, and Ishida did a fantastic job rendering that change.

There's also some similarities throughout his appearances to Yamori and Juuzou, which I think is interesting.  Overall, he's scary as all hell.

WHO ELSE IS HYPE FOR PINEAPPLE VS BANANA-PEDE?!  It looks like Kaneki will finally be returning, and while I want him to kick Takizawa's ass, I don't want him to kill the poor guy.  There's so much potential here, it's unreal.

EDIT BECAUSE CH 29: No Kaneki, but dat Hina-save though.  Hinami's kinda badass.  I'll be honest, I didn't expect that.  I know a lot of people are expecting Hinami and Takizawa to face off, but I really don't see that happening.  Hinami is a staunch pacifist, and her attack didn't seem to be in earnest.  I think she figured Takizawa would dodge, and that was really the only reason she did it.  She just wanted him to back off.  Takizawa's crazy enough to attack her, though, so idk.  I think Akira will show up and his attention will shift entirely to her, which will be fun.  He's probably going to try to kill her, but is it too much for me to hope that he has something of an existential crisis and comes back to himself (even for just a moment).  Also, I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't want Amon back as a love interest for Akira.  I feel like his main purpose is to bridge the divide between humans and ghouls (made super apparent in every single interaction he and Kaneki have had thus far), not to fall in love with someone.  I think that would cheapen his character.  Seidou, on the other hand, is a psychological and emotional landmine, and I think he would be a better fit for Akira (even if it turns out she has to kill him).  Can you guys tell I'm a Seiaki shipper...?  (Plus, it makes more sense because I think the only reason she went for Amon is because he's been trying so hard to be her friend and she thinks Seidou hates her.  It's probably wishful thinking on my part, but I think she was just willing to settle for Amon because Seidou's a self-conscious asshole that can't admit his feelings for her. *inhales* Holy run on sentences, Batman!)

Also, I care so little for Urie's story he's almost nonexistent on my radar.  I seriously hate his guts, and I'm not invested in Mutsuki at all.  Saiko and Shirazu are a different story (I love them so much, you guys), but that's really it.
